Since Melbourne’s still in F1 fever, c’mon - Jenson Button’s at least a little bit hot. Right?
Ditto for Lewis Hamilton. Beautiful, kick-arse male tennis players, where are thou? Roger Federer who?

I swear this is the last of my WTA rants, as I plan to go on a soul-searching journey for WTA love during the clay season. Oh yeth… but the girls aren’t making it any easier for me to feel the love. Safina, Zvonareva, JJ and Ivanovic all out by Round 32, honestly, HONESTLY!
Mind you, all of them [...]

The Fed clearly takes the maxim “make tee, not war” to heart. He has some of the best tees on tour, hands down, and this one goes straight to the top of my rankings list. And if it’s a boy, he can convert it to the nursery curtain! Imagine the squishiness…
I’m taking points off for [...]

Just when I thought the WTA needed to be spiced up, what is this? Kim Clijsters making a comeback to tennis? Do I see mass dancing on the streets of Belgium?
Last year, I remember myself scoffing at the idea when a few commentators suggested that a Clijsters comeback is not a matter of if, but [...]

Just so you know, this is actually the second draft of this post. The original draft read something like “OMFGRogerFedererWTFwaszaaaaaaaatpleaseexplainyourself?!” written straight after I finished the first semifinal this morning. But as my cursor hovered over the “Publish” button, I remembered some trusty advice my creative writing lecturer gave me a few years ago – [...]

Something about Novak Djokovic changed from mid last year, and it all changed inexplicably. Suddenly, his style of play became just that much more laboured. It’s not only that he’s lost a little depth on his shots, but as I was watching his match against Wawrinka two days ago, his whole process of point construction [...]

“Imagine if we got home to find that Nalbandian has lost the match,” a friend of mine suggested to me as we left the lecture theatre, where we spent 2 hours listening to the lecturer drone on about freedom of information legislation while watching the scoreboard post up the most impossible scoreline of 63 53 [...]

R16 makes me nervous. It’s the floaters’ round, the round where the journeymen and maidens step out on court and wonder if it’s their tournament, if the wave of tennis miracle has finally caught up on them to carry them to unexpected heights. For the top seeds, it’s the last round where they’ll have to [...]

Tis a crazy month in the freaktastic world of the WTA. Not only did Jelena, Elena, Sveta and Alize all tumble out first round, but on the other hand, Ana Ivanovic has won 2 matches in a row with minimal fuss. Who knew?
Could she be heading for a Roddick-styled coach rejuvenation? Can I finally stop [...]

It’s not me, it’s my hormones doing the talking. Something about Federbears, Mamabears and Babybears make me wanna squish things together like putty.
I think in a way I always had the dream that once I became No. 1 in the world if I have a child I hope I have it early enough so he [...]
