Great post and great pics. Fantastic match. What else could be said? Roddick played the match of his life and had one shaky game in basically 4 and a half hours of near flawless serving. In the end it looked like he blinked first.
15 majors for Federer is something I can’t see being broken by anyone in our lifetime.

You’re spot on with Roddick, it WAS a matter of who blinked first, and all credit to Roger – he made sure he didn’t blink. Still can’t believe he served 50 aces. It must be so crushing to be a Roddick fan right now, he played the near perfect match, and still came up short.
Very nice photos. It is a good reminder of how far Roger (and Serena) have come. I totally forgot about Roger with his long hair.

I love the “Champions Dinner through the ages” comparisons. Hilarious! And sweet, too. I’m already starting to get nostalgic, wondering how much longer we’ll have Fed to coo over.
And boy does he look great! I used to be annoyed by Anna W. but I must say she does a good job with Roger (assuming she still hand picks his suits as per “Strokes of Genius”)
Some of my fave Dinner pics ever were from the 2006 (I think), when Roger wore his Nike blazer. There’s one shot in particular where he looks deliciously 60’s mod with his white jacket, membership pin and the Swiss flag behind him. Thought it was cool and classy to take the on court look off – but obviously glad it didn’t happen this time!
Okay will go to bed now. 2am here. Must remind myself – Wimbledon’s OVER. Now what are we going to do???

just wanted to say that when roddick won the first set, i wasnt worried at all. but by the time they were playing the 5th set, i really really had thoughts of roger losing. how sad is it for andy, to lose your serve just once — and it came at the wrong moment
