I dunno where else to put this, but would you not think t’would be rather interesting to have a mini tournament during the off-season with the top 6 or 8 players where they have to use wooden racquets?! I had to put it down before I forget it and, more importantly, someone else nicks it and claims it was there own idea…!!
There’s a clip on you tube of Tommy Haas and Marat Safin playing tennis on grass with wooden rackets, AND dressed in 1920s-style clothing. It’s like a fantasy come to life….
It could work as an exho, the problem with that is – it would only be fun for the real tennis theorists and philosophers. I dunno how many casual tennis followers would buy tickets to watch it.
And who would win, if they all played with wooden rackets? If it was among the top 10, then I’d say Federer, hands down. If we extended the invitation to players in the Top 50, you gotta like Fabrice Santoro’s chances.

Dootziez, the download link for the Rolex music has expired. I saved it on my work computer. But I have no ‘net skills and don’t have a clue how to ’send’ it to my computer at home.
