Oh, I thought we agreed in all our favorites! Come on, Marion is so much more than a hamster!
She is one of the best pure strikers of the ball. She takes the ball earlier than almost any other female player. Her angles are ridiculous. Her strokes are fierce. And she likes Roger.
Hehehe rabbit, wish we could agree about Marion. But unfortunately the little hamster just bugs me. For me to like a player, I really need to have a “wow” moment, and I’ve never had that with Marion. There’s very little grace, or joy about her game. And her personality always reminds me a little of Djokovic.
Just can’t warm to her.
And the fact that she likes Roger doesn’t count!

If you watch her match against JJ in this year’s AO for example, she was hitting some angles nobody on the WTA tour hits. Just her pure shotmaking ability is astonishing. Maybe she doesn’t look too joyful but from her interviews, she seems an inspired and imaginative player. Given the monotony of the women’s game in general, I find her style really refreshing. And about her personality, she is kind of shy and sheltered by her dad and I’ve never really heard her be mean. Even in this case, she was asked who she would like to play and her reason for saying Jelena was straightforward. So, I don’t get the comparison with Nole. (Well, except that she also retires from matches a lot for suspicious reasons. For me, the variety of her game overrides that, but I can see how you can disagree on that.)
The Roger bit was a joke. :p
Oh, and I love Sam too. Too bad she couldn’t pull off the win today.
