Rafa, my “old flame”, went to the Mama Mia musical on Broadway ahead of the US Open.
Yes, that’s him nestled at the back, the only person in the picture who doesn’t blind you with his clothes.
Meanwhile, as a closet ABBA fan, this is my tribute to Rafa.
But I suddenly lose control, [...]

Roger Federer was eyeballed with a new practice tee today, looking slightly too happy. Needless to say, my frazzles are now reaching to a medically alarming level. STOP SMILING.
Oh what? Now you’re happy to hit a backhand? You’re just softening me up for the blow, aren’t cha?
Because watching the R-Fed follow through on his backhand will [...]

Don’t get me wrong. I love Roger and Mirka as a couple. LOVE them. Squeegee! But you gotta admit there is just a little too much inhuman excellence between Sharapova and Federer.
That. And the fact that they’re two of my favourite players and rarely have photos taken together. Sharapova being one of the few players out [...]

Richard Gasquet speaking to l’equipe on his freaktastic Round 1 match up against Nadal:
“Rafa a été de loin le plus sympa avec moi pendant l’affaire. Il a eu des mots vachement gentils. En plus, c’est un champion exceptionnel. Si l’on combine ces deux éléments avec mon propre niveau de jeu actuel, on se dit quand [...]

Fenando Verdasco has made up for his lackluster American hard court season by defeating US Open series winner/dud Sam Querrey in the final, 6-4 7-6.
Verdasco has developed a habit of choking lately (well, not just lately). After cruising through the first set and getting an early double-break in the second, Nando bizarrely lost momentum. The [...]

…Although you wouldn’t have known it. The girl has stopped getting press.
Ana debuted her Day Dress for the US Open – essentially a lilac version of her Wimbledon dress, which I must admit I do like.
Looks like she played some mixed-doubles with Clijsters, Blake and Britton too.

What’s with this abdominal injury business?
Nadal returned to the tour this month, but he acknowledges he’s not in peak condition.
“You never know. You never know,” said Nadal, who needs a U.S. Open title to complete a career Grand Slam. “We will see how I am physically.”
Federer’s take? “He’s downplaying his chances, which is very Rafa-like,” Federer [...]

Roger, Serena, ARod and Masha Fierce were among many players that turned up for the annual Arthur Ashe Kids Day, giving Dootsie the perfect opportunity to picspam and drool over so much radness captured in one photograph:

Q. Have you spoken to Andy about the Wimbledon final since that match? What was that conversation [...]

REUTERS: At the U.S. Open, you have the chance of becoming only the seventh man ever to win all four grand slams. Do you think about that at all? Does that weigh on your mind, the possibility and what that would mean for you?
NADAL: “Not right now, no. Right now I am only thinking of [...]
