oh man, I’ll bet that was the worst holiday ever. I broke out the vodka after match point and just got shitfaced, I was in unbearable emotional pain for an entire week. Thank god I was just at home and not in any idylic island paradise or I’d have drowned myself.
I was on vacation in NZ during the Wimbledon 2008 final as well. Same setting, hotel room, vacation, watching Federer lose to Nadal in a heartbreaker. 6 beers and 2 mojitos. 😦
NEVER going on vacation during a grand slam again.
lol he is the best in business when it comes to making the worst hawkeye calls. It is as if he makes the most ridiculous challenges just to prove his point.
Marat was another one who thought hawk eye was a joke ….no wonder they got along so well.funny thing roger never showed irritation at errant calls when there was no hawkeye ie in 2004-2006.
Haha,I love that clip!Roger’s reaction after the 2nd challenge is RIDICULOUSLY adorkable!Quite an upsetting thought that we’re gonna get no more Federer-Safin matches… For the quality of the tennis,of course! 😉
But seriously Mats,’never uses bad language’?Ha,had you never seen a Safin match until this one??

Pray to the tennis gods that Roger and Safin both play Bercy AND Safin draws Roger early and ends his career poetically, going out to Federer in his last match.

Thanks for sharing the fruits of your boredom. If I didn’t want my poor husband to be jealous that I’m looking at pictures of *him* again, I’d be rotfl. 🙂
But seriously, I think if someone is capable of winning everything in sight, getting a major writer to refer to them as a Religious Experience in a major publication, wearing pretty suits and talking about fashion in Vogue magazine, and fathering twins, they have to be adorkable if they want crowds to keep cheering for them. Otherwise all the perfection (certain recent matches notwithstanding) just gets boring. Or so a friend who lives in the UK and can therefore maybe be excused for liking a certain player tells me (but what does he know?).
Hi Dootsie, howz the blogging? 😉 Always enjoying your blog. Do you use Reuters for your pictures then? I joined but im still waiting for my account to be validated. I see you have some nice Davis Cup pics of Rog too 😦 I want them too! 🙂 This is a nice pic of Rog, dork! 😀

Hmm don’t think embedding works in this theme. LOL @ the picture. Fed is a walking contradiction of wins and fails.
I was on vacation during the AO and so missed all the fun bits. Except for the final, which I watched in the hotel room. Worst holiday EVER.

Dude… *shakes head before dying laughing*
Aww. I wish I could have helped him get the shirt on.
ON?
No…lol.. Off of course.. 😀
Shirt fail. Just about the only way you can find any fail with Roger.
What about hawk-eye fail? 😉
