Federporn Friday: Shots of the Year.

I’ve noticed Federporn Fridays have gotten slightly fug over the last two weeks, so how about we drool over some actual tennis for a change?

This is the “shots of the year” thing I was asking you all about a few weeks ago.

Whatever your thoughts on the Fed, dude reconciles ‘good’ and ‘fun’ on a tennis court. Not an easy feat.

That is, if your definition of ‘fun’ is Roland Garros v Tommy Haas 67 57 34 30-40.

Personally, that’s more like my definition of ‘cardiac arrest’.

    Yaaaay breakfast entertainment!!

Tommy Haas RG thing is still very fresh on my mind. I was out that night, came back and flipped on the laptop, thinking the match must almost be over. Imagine my shock when I saw that the match was almost about to be over…for Fedy. It was precisely AT THAT POINT that I came in, 3-4, 30-40. I had to check the scores like 20 times to made sure it was FED who lost the first two sets before calling my cardiologist – I mean, my tennis freak friend, and we started freaking out BAD.

Even after he won the fourth set 6-0 we were STILL freaking because it was all “OMG TOMMY IS CONSERVING ENERGY TO STEAMROLL FEDY IN THE 5TH”. Seemed funny right now but certainly was about as unfunny as it get at the time.

Thanks for compiling this, Doots. Will enjoy watching 🙂

Eeeek PJ. I was in the same situation, only I was coming home from a night shift at work and refreshing the scoreboard on my way home.

Also, I gave $10 to a homeless man in my angst. Then the tennis gods decided that was awesome and Fed won.

Since then, I have always given money to homeless people during slams. Cos my fucked-up brain works like that.

Ohmuhguh, RG: I was this close to flunking my exams and dying an early death. This close, I tell thee! *presses fingers together*

Yayness, thanks for the compilation, Doots! Can’t wait to watch it when I eventually relocate to a computer. 😀

Thank you so much for making this video! it’s awesome. I love all your videos and this one is great as usual.

I have to say I didn’t watch the Haas RG match live bc I had to prepare for an exam that day but I was looking at the live scores and that match made it very difficult for me to focus on management courses…
I did, however, watch every Wimbledon match live and I think I had at least 3 heart attacks during the final LOL

Of course, looking back, 2009 was amazing and this beautiful compilation just brings a big smile to my face =)
    Well done!

ard disk is full.” Well, NOT ! Is this MY problem? Or should I not try to save your hard work to my lazy hard disk?

      • dootsiez says :

I think your hard disc is allergic to Federporn.

LOL, you’re welcomed to save it, but I’ll have hopefully a clearer version up on mediafire, so you wanna wait.

Great Vid, doots!! So many great shots!!

That Haas Shot was the most significant shot of the year. I mean, who knows how Fed’s season would have turned out had it gone out!!!

Also, brought back memories of the Haas, DelPo RG match and Roddick Wimby match (all of which i saw live!) I think my blood pressure and heart rate have only just got back to normal after those matches! Really don’t how I managed to sit through them and still be breathing! My whole family thinks i’m crazy after seeing me during those matches…… don’t know why?! 🙂

Oh, and that breakpoint at the end of the vid seems so funny now, pretty sure it was the total opposite then!

but what did the umpire say at 4:53 :D:D?

    • dootsiez says :

From the mic, it seemed that the umpire said “quiet please, we’re all still amazed.”

Of course, that may be my head talking.
