There are so many awesome things about this video I’m not quite sure where to start: Domi Cibulkova a natural interviewer? Carol and Vika as ‘good girl’ and ‘good girl gone bad‘? Maria Sharapova looking like she has fwends? Fernando Verdasco takes 5 minutes to get ready? Say WHUT? Next you’ll be telling me that Roger Federer doesn’t actually use 3 different types of conditioner in his hair …

 

 

Seriously though. Great to see the human side of players.

 

 

But parties aside, all is not looking well in girl world, as 6 seeds crashed out of Miami in their first match: Peer, Pennetta, Petrova, Rezai, Wickmayer and most notably, Li Na, whose post-Aus Open results (4 consecutive first round losses) is a letdown of such apocalyptic proportions that she’s making Federer’s post Aus Open 2010 funk look like a casual break from Robocop duties.

 

 

But it’s better news for Masha Fierce, whose straight-sets win over Petra Martic (63 62) is almost certain to put her back in the top 10 for the first time since her injury in 2008. Whether this tells us anything about her chances of winning another slam is debatable (I’m going with “NO” at this stage), but as they say, onwards and upwards bitches.
