Temptations. They are everywhere. 

For the first time in my life, I can safely say that Andy Roddick looked adorkable at the Beijing Airport. 

That freaks me out.

 

 

Either jetlag looks good on him, or everyone else in tennis looks better now that my vision has been freed from the clutches of the Mighty Fed. 

 

 

Also arriving in Beijing yesterday, Masha Fierce tried to look discreet in a mustard yellow cardigan. 

 

 

Except when you resemble some sort of exotic white lightning, and stands head and shoulders taller than a quarter of mankind, chances of you making anything other than a grand entrance are slim.

 

 

Masha Fierce was escorted by two security guards all the way out of the airport. 

 

 

Someone who needed no security guards but probably would’ve liked some for accessory, JJ touched down in China on the same day as Shaz. 

No wrist injury was going to prevent her from playing the maximum WTA schedule.

Having arrived earlier this week in Beijing, Dr Ivo took some time off to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival with the rest of the country by cutting up A GIANT MOON CAKE.

Also known as a disgusting-pile-of-pigeon-food in Dootsie’s house. 

 

 

In actual results, with the exception of Caroline Wozniacki, the WTA top seeds have more or less stopped the bleed, all scoring wins into the second round. 

Which means more Kuznetsova, Venus and Serena (YAY!) but also more Dina and Lena D (NAY!).
